Google Code Prettify

Google Code Prettify is a JavaScript library that provides syntax highlighting for source code snippets embedded in HTML pages. It automatically detects programming languages and applies color-coded formatting to improve code readability. Google Code Prettify is commonly used in technical blogs, documentation sites, and code sharing platforms. The library supports numerous programming languages including JavaScript, Python, Java, and C++ with extensible language handlers. It works by applying CSS classes to code elements which can be styled with custom themes. Google Code Prettify is lightweight and requires minimal configuration, typically just adding a script tag and CSS class. While still functional, it has largely been superseded by more modern alternatives like Prism.js and Highlight.js.
