Tools

list-categories-tool

List all technology categories with their top technologies and domain counts.

list-technologies-tool

List technologies in a specific category with domain counts.

category_slug
: The category slug (e.g. "javascript-libraries", "cms", "ecommerce")
search-technologies-tool

Search technologies and categories by name. Returns matching categories with their matching technologies and domain counts.

query
: Search query to match against technology or category names (e.g. "wordpress", "analytics", "cms")
get-technology-tool

Get details about a technology including top domains using it, language distribution, and related technologies.

technology_slug
: The technology slug (e.g. "jquery", "react", "wordpress")
page
: Page number (1-5, default 1). Each page returns 25 domains.
lookup-domain-tool

Scan a domain to detect its technologies, language, emails, and metadata. mode=quick (default, 5 tokens) fetches the site over HTTP in a few seconds; mode=full (100 tokens, at most 1 a minute per account, shared with the REST API) also renders it in a browser to catch technologies injected by JavaScript. A result less than 6 hours old is reused for 1 token.

domain
: The domain to scan (e.g. "example.com", "https://shop.example.com")
mode
: quick (default) fetches over HTTP; full also renders the page in a browser
list-my-exports-tool

List your purchased data exports with their status, filters, and row counts.

get-export-tool

Get a page of a purchased lead list as CSV (domain, title, description, language, country, rank, page_rank, technology, version, first_detected, last_detected, technologies, emails, contact_page, last_scanned, ip). Use offset and limit (up to 500 rows; about 100 rows fit comfortably in a model's context) to page through it.

export_id
: The export ID from list-my-exports
offset
: Number of data rows to skip (default 0).
limit
: Rows to return (1-500, default 100).

Limits

2,000 tokens a month with a free verified account, shared by the REST API and the MCP server, reset on the 1st (UTC).

  • REST API: 60 requests a minute, 10 lookups a minute.
  • MCP server: 30 calls a minute, 3 lookups a minute.

Full lookups are limited to 1 a minute per account, shared by the REST API and the MCP server.

Errors

  • Rate limit exceeded — Too many calls in a minute. Wait a minute and try again.
  • Not enough API tokens left this month — The monthly allowance is spent. Check your usage under API keys.
  • This domain is flagged as dangerous — The domain is on a malware or phishing feed and is not scanned.
  • Failed to reach the crawler — The scan could not run. Try again in a moment.
  • 403 Forbidden — Your e-mail address is not verified yet.
